No, you do not need a guide just to swim or snorkel in the open areas. You can pay the basic entrance fee and enter independently. However, a certified guide is legally required if you plan to scuba dive or explore restricted cave zones.
Yes. You can pay the 350-400 MXN admission directly at the highway gate. This grants you access to the main swimming areas. You must wear the included life jacket.
Basic admission is 350 to 400 MXN (around $19-22 USD). You must pay in cash. Credit cards are rarely accepted at the ticket booth. Guided snorkeling tours purchased on site generally cost 600 to 700 MXN.

Awesome experience, timely pick up from hotel, Miguel was a great guide and the cenotes were amazing. The company was very flexible when I changed the date last minute and helped me add a scuba dive to the experience. Highly recommended.
The experience from pick up to drop off was everything we wanted. Each cenote was unique in its own way and we had so much fun exploring them. Our guide did an amazing job telling us fun facts and taking pictures for us.
Luis was an excellent guide, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about sharing information about the history of the cenote. It was an amazing, otherworldly experience! Lunch was delicious and our driver was very helpful in making sure our items were secure.
